Learning to blog is easy for most people. It's just getting started that's hard.

Blogging has become an international trend that is here to stay. Hopefully, this article will inspire and motivate you to start a blog of your own!

If you can type, you can blog.

A blog is short for a web log, which is a journal on the web. You can blog about your life in general or on topics that concern you. Choosing a topic you're passionate about will make learning to blog easier.

Your blog can focus on hobbies, politics, religion or the lack there-of, parenting, marriage, entertainment, camping, marketing, your business or even your childhood. There is no limit to what you can blog about. You will be learning to write, which can be quite therapeutic, while you're learning to blog.

Start by registering on a free blog site such as Blogger or MySpace. Just click on my blog links to view my blogs and then join while you're on my site!

STEP ONE: First you need to think of your username.

Keep in mind that your username will also be included in the url link to your first blog.

For instance, my username at MySpace is "bloglady," therefore my url is http://myspace.com/bloglady. My username at BlogSpot is Circa1954 so likewise, my url is http://circa1954.blogspot.com. However, I have another blog at blogspot too. The very first blog you create will also be your username.

Once you have registered for an account, just log in and follow the directions. It really is that simple.

To post a blog, you click on new blog entry or new post, then type in your info (don't forget the title) and click submit, publish, or post.

Blogspot gives you the option of creating multiple blogs so you can focus on different topics. They also provide a "dashboard" that makes it simple to manage all of your blogs from one place.

There are many things you can do with your blog, but first you need to tell people about it and get them to read it.

Once you're familiar with blogging, you might want to try to earn some extra cash using Google Adsense. Blogspot makes this an easy transition, so choose them for your blog if you plan to add Adsense later. Or start right away!
