Outlook Express Email Setup for Your Domain Name
Easy tutorial on setting up outlook express to fetch your email from your domain name.
Just follow the simple steps below...
Your help is here at C4Him Media.
- Open Outlook Express email client.
Click on "TOOLS" at the top of the window.
Scroll down and select "ACCOUNTS"
- A new window will open, click on "ADD" in the top right corner, then select "MAIL"
- A new window will open with a box labeled "Display Name." Enter your name in the box, then click on "NEXT".
- The next screen will ask for the email address you are setting up... whatever@yourdomain.com. Fill it in and click on "NEXT."
- The next window will ask for the server information. Hosting clients of C4Him.com Media will enter the word "mail." followed by your domain name, then "." and the domain level (com, net, org, etc.). Then click on "NEXT".
- The next screen will ask for the account user name which will be given to you when you set up your hosting account. It is the username to login to your cpanel usually. Enter the username, and then enter the password in the second box. Your password will also have been provided at the time you set up your hosting account. This is known as your "root" account. Be sure to select the "Remember Password" or you will have to type it in every time you check your mail. Click on "NEXT".
- Then click on "FINISH".
You may want to select the properties of the email account to give it a name that is easy to remember. Otherwise it will show as mail.yourdomain.com.
If you set up other accounts through your cpanel, you will need to add them the same way, with one exception. When entering your username you will need to enter the entire email address on any accounts other than the "root" account.
Good Luck!
You may search for a domain name now...If the domain name you enter is taken, the search will show you the owner or registrant of that domain. If the one you want isn't taken, send an email with your preferred domain name so we can get started.
Your search results will appear in a new window.
